Role Overview
Genesys is seeking an early-career, motivated Enterprise Applications Developer to support the development, configuration, and enhancement of Salesforce applications within our Quote-to-Cash ecosystem. This role will contribute to Salesforce solutions that support quoting, order management, product configuration, asset management, and integrations with downstream billing and revenue systems.
As part of the Enterprise Applications team, you will work closely with senior developers, Technical Leads, Product Owners, Business Systems Analysts, and QA to deliver reliable, scalable, and well-tested Salesforce capabilities. This is a hands-on development role suited for someone with foundational Salesforce experience, strong ownership and accountability, curiosity, and a desire to grow in enterprise systems delivery.
Success in this role requires strong technical fundamentals, attention to detail, willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
-
Develop, configure, and support Salesforce solutions using Apex, SOQL, Salesforce Flows, validation rules, custom objects, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) under guidance from senior developers and Technical Leads.
-
Take ownership of assigned deliverables, demonstrating accountability for delivering high-quality solutions within agreed timelines.
-
Assist in translating business requirements and user stories into technical tasks, configuration changes, and development deliverables.
-
Support enhancements across Salesforce capabilities related to Quote-to-Cash, quoting, order management, assets, renewals, and related business processes.
-
Participate in unit testing, peer reviews, defect resolution, and release validation to ensure quality and reliability of delivered solutions.
-
Troubleshoot Salesforce issues, including configuration defects, data issues, flow errors, permission issues, and integration-related errors.
-
Support integration-related development and issue analysis between Salesforce and downstream systems such as Zuora, Workday, ServiceNow, and middleware platforms.
-
Maintain technical documentation, including configuration notes, data mappings, design details, and deployment steps.
-
Collaborate with QA to validate expected behavior, reproduce defects, and confirm fixes across environments.
-
Follow established development standards, release processes, change controls, and security guidelines.
-
Continuously build Salesforce platform expertise, demonstrate a proactive learning mindset, and contribute ideas for improving system quality, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
-
2–5 years of experience in Salesforce development, configuration, or enterprise application development.
-
Hands-on experience with Apex, SOQL, Salesforce Flows, validation rules, custom objects, and basic Salesforce configuration.
-
Foundational understanding of the Salesforce data model, security model, profiles, permission sets, and role hierarchy.
-
Experience supporting or developing in a structured software delivery lifecycle, including requirements review, build, test, and deployment.
-
Ability to troubleshoot issues using debug logs, error messages, data analysis, and collaboration with senior technical resources.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail, curiosity, and willingness to investigate issues thoroughly.
-
Demonstrated ownership and accountability in delivering software solutions and resolving technical issues.
-
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Business Systems Analysts, QA, and other developers.
-
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to ask clarifying questions and document work clearly.
-
Exposure to Salesforce CPQ, Revenue Cloud, or Quote-to-Cash processes.
-
Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC).
-
Familiarity with Salesforce integrations, REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or asynchronous processing.
-
Exposure to Zuora Billing, Workday, ServiceNow, or other enterprise SaaS platforms.
-
Experience using GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, deployment tools, or version control practices.
-
Salesforce certification such as Platform Developer I, Administrator, or App Builder is a plus.
-
Experience working in Agile delivery teams with Jira, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and defect management.
