Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and passionate English Teacher to teach students as per the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster critical thinking, creativity, and language proficiency in students through innovative teaching methods aligned with CBSE's competency-based approach. Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.
- Teach grammar, reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, and literature.
- Prepare annual lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and competency-based assessments.
- Evaluate students through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Develop students' communication, comprehension, creative writing, and critical thinking skills.
- Integrate digital tools, smart classroom technologies, and experiential learning strategies into teaching.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare students for CBSE examinations through regular revision, practice tests, and remedial classes.
- Maintain student records, attendance, assessment reports, and academic documentation.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings and communicate student progress effectively.
- Participate in school assemblies, co-curricular activities, competitions, and professional development programmes.
- Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning and school improvement initiatives. (CBSE)
Qualifications
- M.A. in English from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- Experience teaching in a CBSE school is preferred.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
