Job Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer / Windows Systems Architect with deep expertise in Windows OS Internals, low-level systems programming, Windows deployment, recovery, and enterprise endpoint automation.
This is a specialized engineering role focused on building advanced Windows endpoint-management and deployment capabilities, including boot and recovery workflows, bare-metal OS provisioning, patch orchestration, endpoint state management, Windows Autopilot automation, driver/firmware updates, and zero-disruption servicing.
The selected candidate will work closely with the CTO and Head of Product to translate product concepts into scalable technical architecture and will provide technical leadership to a small engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop an endpoint decision engine for:
- Endpoint state scanning
- Desired-state policy interpretation
- CVE/vulnerability-driven prioritization
- Dependency-aware task sequencing
- Multi-reboot orchestration
- Build zero-disruption Windows update mechanisms, including:
- Application detection
- Patch deferral and retry
- Startup-sequence integration
- Update dependency management
- Develop and customize WinPE-based recovery environments.
- Build programmatic and image-free Windows installation workflows.
- Develop bare-metal deployment and recovery solutions, including recovery scenarios where:
- Windows is unbootable
- The storage device has failed
- Internet-based provisioning is required
- Extend and automate Windows Autopilot workflows for complete and dependency-aware device provisioning.
- Implement pre-boot Microsoft Entra ID authentication from recovery environments.
- Design content-delivery architecture using:
- Azure Blob Storage
- CDN-backed repositories
- On-premises repositories
- Network-aware distribution points
- Automate driver, BIOS, and firmware updates across enterprise devices.
- Support provisioning and management of:
- VDI
- Windows 365 Cloud PCs
- Azure Virtual Desktop
- Collaborate with product and engineering leadership on:
- Architecture
- Technical roadmap
- Product scalability
- Future platform capabilities
- Lead, mentor, and guide engineers working on the platform.
Mandatory Skills
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong systems-level development experience on Windows
- Deep expertise in Windows Internals, including:
- Windows boot process
- Windows Services
- Registry
- Security tokens
- Privilege management
- Low-level / kernel-adjacent development
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- WinPE
- Windows OS deployment
- Task sequences
- Unattended installation
- Windows recovery
- Application packaging

- Installation dependencies
- Expert-level development experience with:
- C/C++ and/or C#/.NET
- Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation
- Strong knowledge of Windows APIs and systems programming
- Experience with enterprise endpoint-management platforms such as:
- Microsoft Intune
- SCCM / Microsoft Configuration Manager / MECM
- Windows Autopilot
- BigFix
- Kaseya
- Similar endpoint-management platforms
- Experience with:
- Windows code signing
- Secure Boot
- EV certificates
- Microsoft signing processes
- Strong architecture and system-design skills
- Experience leading or mentoring software engineers
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

- Experience building commercial Windows deployment, patching, or endpoint-management products

Pay: ₹230,000.00 - ₹240,000.00 per month
