This role bridges the gap between architectural designs and on-site completion. They ensure that all academic buildings, sports facilities, laboratories, and administrative zones are built safely, on time, and to institutional specifications. This position offers a unique opportunity to build a landmark educational facility from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Duties
1. Greenfield School Construction Supervision
- Setting Out & Layouts: Verify and supervise the layout, leveling, and excavation works for academic blocks, playgrounds, boundary walls, and parking zones.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Review and execute structural, architectural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and HVAC drawings specific to school designs.
- Safety & Child-Centric Quality Control: Inspect civil works, reinforcing steel, and concrete casting to guarantee structural safety, durability, and a highly secure environment for future students.
2. Contractor Coordination & Progress Tracking
- Labor Supervision: Manage and coordinate the daily schedules of civil sub-contractors, MEP technicians, and vendor teams.
- Timeline Enforcement: Track daily milestones against the master construction timeline to ensure the campus is fully operational ahead of the 2027 launch.
- Material Management: Audit and approve incoming construction materials (e.g., eco-friendly materials, specific flooring, soundproofing) to prevent delays and waste.
3. Education-Specific Compliance & Documentation
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain records ensuring the building aligns with educational safety boards, local municipal building codes, and fire safety standards.
- Daily Engineering Logs: Maintain precise records, including daily progress reports, material testing certifications, and site diaries.
- As-Built Records: Assist in documenting real-time construction changes to deliver accurate "As-Built" drawings for future campus maintenance teams.
Requisition RequirementsEducation & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience as a site engineer. Experience working on institutional projects—such as schools, colleges, hospitals, or campus-style layouts—is highly preferred.
Technical Skills & Tools
- Software Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing verification and reading structural designs.
- Surveying Gear: Hands-on experience with Total Station, Auto Level, and structural leveling instruments.
- Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with institutional building requirements (e.g., accessible ramps/elevators, playground safety boundaries, proper ventilation grids).
Soft Skills & Physical Competencies
- Deadline-Driven Mindset: High sense of urgency to hit strict project deadlines leading up to the 2027-28 school opening.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with corporate school trustees, external architects, and on-site construction workers.
- Stamina: Resilience to work on an active, fast-paced greenfield construction site under varying weather conditions.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
