Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer – Control Panel Automation (EPLAN)
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer with experience in industrial automation and control panel design using EPLAN. The candidate will be responsible for designing electrical control panels, preparing engineering documentation, supporting project execution, and ensuring compliance with applicable electrical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical control panels for industrial automation projects using EPLAN Electric P8.
- Prepare electrical schematics, power and control circuit diagrams, terminal plans, cable schedules, and panel layout drawings.
- Generate BOM (Bill of Materials) and manufacturing documentation.
- Select electrical components such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, MCCBs, MCBs, relays, contactors, power supplies, and terminal blocks.
- Develop PLC I/O lists and interface drawings based on customer specifications.
- Review customer requirements, technical specifications, and standards.
- Coordinate with automation, production, procurement, and commissioning teams for project execution.
- Support panel assembly, testing, FAT, SAT, and commissioning by resolving design-related issues.
- Ensure designs comply with IEC, IS, UL, or other applicable electrical standards.
- Maintain engineering documentation and revision control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in design reviews and implement engineering improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering.
- 2–6 years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation control panels.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8.
- Strong knowledge of electrical control panel design and documentation.
- Experience with PLC-based automation systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Omron, Delta, etc.).
- Knowledge of MCC, PCC, PLC, VFD, and instrumentation panels.
- Ability to prepare BOMs, cable schedules, terminal plans, and panel layouts.
- Familiarity with IEC, IS, and relevant electrical standards.
- Good understanding of electrical component selection and panel sizing.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN Pro Panel.
- Knowledge of industrial communication networks such as Profinet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and Profibus.
- Exposure to SAP, ERP, or Zoho systems.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
