Job Title: Diamond Assorter / Diamond Grader
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Diamond Assorter to join our gemstone and jewelry team. In this role, you will be responsible for meticulously inspecting, grading, and sorting loose diamonds (polished and/or rough) according to industry standards and company quality guidelines. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional visual acuity, a strong understanding of diamond quality characteristics, and experience working with precision grading tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Grading & Sorting: Inspect polished or rough diamonds, grouping them by cut, carat weight, color, and clarity (the 4Cs).
- Quality Control: Identify and reject stones with structural defects, heavy inclusions, or characteristics that fail to match company standards.
- Tool Usage: Utilize precision instruments like jeweler's loupes, sieves, microscopes, and scales.
- Record Keeping: Maintain precise logs of stone counts, weights, incoming/outgoing parcels, and lot distributions
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Diamond Assorter, Diamond Grader, or Quality Control Specialist in the diamond/jewelry industry.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong expertise in color grading, clarity evaluation, and cut quality assessment.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and sharp color-discrimination vision.
- High level of honesty, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking and ERP/spreadsheet data entry.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
