Job Summary
We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented CHA Executive to manage export documentation, customs clearance coordination, and shipping compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Indian export procedures and be capable of independently handling export shipments from documentation through customs clearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify export documentation including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, Certificate of Origin, Bill of Lading, and other shipping documents.
- Coordinate customs clearance with CHA partners, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters.
- Ensure compliance with Indian Customs regulations, DGFT guidelines, GST requirements, and export-import policies.
- Handle export documentation through ICEGATE, DGFT, and other government portals.
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to ensure timely shipment execution.
- Track shipments and provide regular updates to management and customers.
- Manage IEC, AD Code registration, e-RCMC, and other export compliance requirements.
- Resolve customs documentation issues and shipment delays efficiently.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation for audits and internal reporting.
- Stay updated with changes in customs regulations, export procedures, and international trade policies.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in export documentation, customs clearance, or freight forwarding.
- Strong understanding of Indian Customs procedures and export documentation.
- Experience using ICEGATE, DGFT, and customs-related online portals.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, HS Codes, GST, and export compliance.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication.
- Ability to manage multiple export shipments simultaneously with high attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience working with international shipments and freight forwarding companies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under deadlines.
