Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and optimize our injection molding operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, process optimization, quality assurance, team management, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and execute daily and monthly production targets.
- Monitor and improve machine cycle times, productivity, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and drive continuous quality improvement.
- Lead and supervise process technicians, shift supervisors, and molding operators.
- Manage manpower planning, shift scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through scrap reduction, yield improvement, and process optimization.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
- Coordinate closely with Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain production records, process documentation, machine logs, and operational reports.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports and management review presentations.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Identify opportunities for cycle time reduction, raw material yield improvement, and overall cost savings.
- Support and troubleshoot robotic automation systems used in production.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Plastics, Polymer, or related field).
- Strong experience in Injection Molding Manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience in process optimization and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of industrial robots and automation systems.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, OEE, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience in cost control, scrap reduction, and productivity enhancement.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MIS preparation, data analysis, and management reporting.
