Job Summary
The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling all production activities to ensure timely delivery of quality products while maintaining optimum productivity, cost efficiency, and compliance with company standards. The role requires strong leadership, production planning expertise, workforce management skills, and experience in garment export manufacturing or sports good production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Control
- Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans in line with customer delivery schedules.
- Monitor production targets and ensure on-time order completion.
- Coordinate with Merchants, QC, Stores, and Maintenance departments for smooth production flow.
- Optimize machine utilization, manpower deployment, and production capacity.
Manufacturing Operations
- Oversee cutting, stitching, printing, embroidery, finishing, and packing operations.
- Ensure adherence to approved production methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor line efficiency, productivity, and output performance.
- Implement corrective actions to minimize bottlenecks and production delays.
Quality Management
- Ensure products meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to reduce defects and rework.
Team Management
- Lead, motivate, and develop production supervisors, line leaders, and operators.
- Manage workforce planning, attendance, overtime, and shift scheduling.
Cost & Efficiency Improvement
- Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Improve line balancing, labor productivity, and operational efficiency.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare daily production reports, efficiency reports, and management dashboards.
- Present performance updates and improvement plans to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 8–15 years of experience in garment manufacturing, apparel exports, sportswear production, or related manufacturing industries.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a managerial production role.
Preferred Experience
- Experience handling international buyers and export orders.
- Exposure to sportswear, activewear, team uniforms, performance apparel, or garment export operations.
- Experience managing large production teams (200+ employees preferred).

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
