A Sales Engineer combines technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice and support on products or services. The role involves understanding customer requirements, demonstrating solutions, and helping close deals by explaining complex technical concepts in a clear and persuasive way.
Identify and develop new business opportunities with potential clients
Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products or solutions
Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations
Collaborate with the sales team to achieve revenue targets
Prepare proposals, quotations, and technical documentation
Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support
Work closely with engineering and product teams to customize solutions
Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
Attend industry events, meetings, and trade shows.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
B.E. Mechanical Engineering with knowledge of Idea Lab Equipment
Strong technical knowledge of the product or industry
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms
Sales and negotiation skills
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in sales or technical support
Knowledge of CRM software (e.g., Sales force)
