Supplier Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with fishermen, vendors, and wholesale aggregators in coastal regions. Conduct supplier evaluations to ensure reliability and ethical sourcing practices
Procurement & Volume Planning: Manage daily or weekly procurement based on demand forecasting, inventory levels, and production schedules. Ensure timely inward supply of seafood to processing centers or storefronts
Price Negotiation & Cost Optimization: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply terms to secure favorable margins. Manage risks associated with seasonal price fluctuations and supply shortages
Quality Control & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and cold-chain temperature standards. Inspect fish for freshness, size, and species specifications, and handle rejections of subpar products
Market Intelligence: Track seafood market trends, seasonal availability of different species, and global supply/demand dynamics.
Logistics & Coordination: Coordinate with supply chain, transportation, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless delivery and cold-chain integrity
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, transactions, and supplier invoices. Track procurement costs to prepare financial and operational reports.
