At Walk on Water, we believe that great food is the heart of our cafe. We are looking for a passionate, reliable, and skilled Kitchen Cook / Chef to lead our back-of-house operations. What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
- Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients, chop vegetables, marinate meats, and set up the kitchen before service begins.
- Cooking & Plating: Cook menu items efficiently and consistently, ensuring every dish leaving the kitchen meets our quality and presentation standards.
- Menu Collaboration: Work with the management team to execute the daily menu, develop daily specials, and suggest seasonal menu items.
- Inventory Management: Monitor food stock levels, report shortages, and assist with ordering ingredients to ensure the kitchen is always properly equipped.
- Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a spotless cooking station and adhere strictly to all health, safety, and food sanitation guidelines (including proper storage and labeling).
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, ovens) is cleaned, maintained, and operated safely.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate clearly with the front-of-house team (waitstaff and baristas) to ensure seamless service and quick ticket times.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements)
- Proven experience as a Cook, Chef, or similar role in a cafe or restaurant setting.
- Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Solid knowledge of food safety rules and health and sanitation protocols.
- Ability to work quickly, safely, and efficiently under pressure during peak hours.
- Excellent time-management and multitasking skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long shifts and handle a hot kitchen environment.
- Culinary school diploma or relevant certification is a plus, but practical experience is highly valued.
Pay: ₹9,000.00 - ₹13,000.00 per month
