The EV Charger Service Engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of EV charging stations and related electrical systems. The role ensures high uptime, safety compliance, and efficient operation of charging infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
1. Installation & Commissioning ● Install and commission EV charging stations (AC/DC chargers) at client locations. ● Ensure proper electrical connections, earthing, and system configuration. ● Conduct testing and commissioning as per standards.
2. Maintenance & Service ● Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of EV chargers. ● Ensure maximum uptime and efficient functioning of charging systems. ● Conduct periodic inspections and servicing activities.
3. Diagnostics & Troubleshooting ● Identify and resolve faults in chargers, connectors, cables, and control systems. ● Diagnose issues related to power supply, communication errors, and charging failures. ● Use diagnostic tools/software for fault analysis.
4. Electrical & Safety Compliance ● Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations. ● Handle high-voltage equipment safely and follow safety protocols. ● Maintain proper earthing, load balancing, and protection systems.
5. Customer Support ● Provide on-site and remote support to customers. ● Address service complaints and ensure timely resolution. ● Educate customers on charger usage and safety practices.
6. Documentation & Reporting ● Maintain service records, installation reports, and maintenance logs. ● Prepare daily/weekly service reports and update in ERP/CRM systems. ● Track issues and suggest improvements.
7. Coordination & Field Support ● Coordinate with project, technical, and operations teams. ● Support new project installations and upgrades. ● Travel to different sites as required.
Key Skills & Competencies ● Strong knowledge of EV charging systems (AC/DC chargers) ● Understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and safety standards ● Basic knowledge of networking/communication protocols (OCPP preferred) ● Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills ● Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools ● Good communication and customer-handling skills Preferred Experience ● Experience in EV charging infrastructure / electrical service industry ● Familiarity with load management systems and smart charging ● Exposure to field service operations
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
