The ideal candidate will be responsible for solidworks designing and developing mechanical components for EV chargers, energy management devices, and other related products.
Design and develop mechanical components and enclosures for EV charging products.
Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and assembly designs using SolidWorks.Perform FEA, thermal analysis, and structural analysis for product optimization.
Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless product integration.
Work on sheet metal, plastic enclosures, and heat dissipation techniques.
Optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
Create BOM (Bill of Materials), technical documentation, and manufacturing drawings.
Interact with vendors and suppliers to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
Conduct prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in mechanical design and materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in EV charging, automotive, or energy-related industries.
Proficiency in SolidWorks (Part modeling, Assemblies, Drawings, Surface modeling).
Strong knowledge of sheet metal design, injection molding, and CNC machining.
Experience in FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and thermal management.
Understanding of IP-rated enclosures, EMI/EMC shielding, and industrial standards.Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in battery enclosures, power electronics packaging, or energy management devices.
Familiarity with ANSYS, COMSOL, or other simulation tools.
Exposure to ISO/IEC standards related to EV charging and energy systems.
