Position Overview
Mighty Machines is looking for an experienced Plant Head to lead and manage its manufacturing operations at the Peenya plant.
The ideal candidate will be a strong Production & Manufacturing Operations professional with hands-on experience in precision engineering, CNC machining, heavy engineering, machining of forged/cast components and industrial production environments.
The Plant Head will be responsible for the overall performance of the plant, including:

Key Responsibilities1. Plant Operations
- Take complete ownership of day-to-day plant operations.
- Ensure smooth functioning of production, machining and supporting activities.
- Establish and monitor plant-level KPIs.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within planned cost and timelines.
- Improve overall plant productivity and operational efficiency.
- Drive accountability across production and support functions.
2. Production Planning & Control
- Develop production plans based on customer orders and delivery commitments.
- Coordinate with Planning, Purchase, Stores, Quality and Maintenance teams.
- Monitor daily production against planned targets.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Improve machine loading and capacity utilization.
- Reduce production downtime and idle capacity.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules.
3. CNC & Machining Operations
- Oversee CNC Turning, VMC/HMC and other machining operations.
- Monitor machining cycle times, rejection rates and productivity.
- Improve machine utilization and OEE.
- Work with production and process teams to optimize machining processes.
- Ensure appropriate tooling, fixtures and process controls.
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
4. Quality Management
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001:2015 systems and procedures.
- Work closely with the Quality team to reduce rejection, rework and customer complaints.
- Establish root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Drive First-Time-Right manufacturing.
- Ensure process and final inspection requirements are followed.
- Promote a strong quality culture across the shop floor.
5. Maintenance & Machine Reliability
- Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure maximum machine availability.
- Monitor preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Minimize breakdowns and unplanned downtime.
- Track MTBF, MTTR and machine availability.
- Ensure critical machines and equipment receive appropriate maintenance attention.
6. Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
Drive implementation of:

7. Manpower Management
- Lead production and shop-floor teams.
- Plan manpower according to production requirements.
- Improve operator productivity and skill utilization.
- Identify training requirements.
- Establish performance expectations for supervisors and production teams.
- Build a culture of ownership, discipline and accountability.
8. Cost Management
- Control manufacturing costs.
- Reduce scrap, rework, tooling losses and consumable wastage.
- Improve machine productivity and manpower efficiency.
- Monitor cost per component / operation.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
9. Inventory & Material Coordination
- Coordinate with Stores, Purchase and Production Planning.
- Ensure availability of raw materials, tools, consumables and critical components.
- Reduce excess inventory and material shortages.
- Improve material flow within the plant.
- Ensure proper traceability of materials and components.
10. Customer Delivery
- Take ownership of plant-level delivery commitments.
- Monitor order execution and manufacturing lead times.
- Identify potential delivery risks in advance.
- Coordinate with management and commercial teams for priority orders.
- Build a reliable on-time-delivery culture.

Candidate ProfileEducation
Mandatory:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / Industrial Engineering
Preferred:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with substantial manufacturing leadership experience
- MBA / PG qualification in Operations or Manufacturing Management will be an advantage.

Compensation
₹16–20 LPA
Compensation will be based on experience, current CTC, technical capability, leadership experience and demonstrated ability to manage plant operations.
Location
Peenya Industrial Area, Bengaluru, Karnataka
The role requires regular presence at the manufacturing plant and is therefore best suited for candidates who can commute to or relocate to Peenya.
Mighty Machines' facility is located in Peenya Industrial Area, Bengaluru.
