Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable and highly motivated Physics Teacher who can teach Physics at the school level while also preparing students for the IIT Foundation Programme.
The ideal candidate should have strong subject expertise, excellent teaching skills and the ability to make complex Physics concepts engaging, practical and easy to understand. The teacher will be responsible for developing students' conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities and readiness for future competitive examinations such as JEE, NEET, Olympiads and other national-level competitive exams.
Key Responsibilities1. School Physics Teaching
- Teach Physics/Science to assigned middle and secondary school grades as per the school's curriculum.
- Plan and deliver engaging, concept-based and activity-oriented lessons.
- Simplify complex Physics concepts through demonstrations, experiments, real-life examples and practical applications.
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments and assessments.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate student performance records.
- Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide remedial instruction.
- Encourage scientific curiosity, critical thinking and inquiry-based learning.
- Ensure effective classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
2. IIT Foundation Programme
- Teach IIT Foundation Physics to students, particularly from middle school onwards.
- Develop a strong foundation in concepts that support future preparation for JEE, NEET, NTSE-level and Olympiad-style examinations.
- Teach advanced and application-based topics beyond the regular school curriculum where required.
- Develop students' numerical problem-solving and logical reasoning abilities.
- Train students to approach multi-concept and higher-order thinking questions.
- Prepare and conduct:
- Foundation-level worksheets
- Topic-wise practice tests
- Numerical problem sets
- Conceptual and analytical questions
- Mock tests and competitive assessments
- Track the progress of IIT Foundation students and provide targeted academic support.
- Identify high-potential students and provide additional mentoring and enrichment opportunities.
3. Curriculum & Content Development
- Develop high-quality Physics learning resources, including worksheets, question banks, presentations and practice material.
- Create challenging questions aligned with IIT Foundation and competitive examination standards.
- Ensure a balance between conceptual learning, numerical application and examination preparation.
- Collaborate with the Mathematics and Chemistry faculty to develop an integrated IIT Foundation programme.
- Continuously update teaching methods and content based on changes in competitive examination patterns and educational best practices.
4. Student Mentoring & Parent Communication
- Mentor students regarding academic performance, learning strategies and competitive examination preparation.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to students.
- Communicate student progress and areas of improvement to parents when required.
- Encourage students to develop consistency, discipline and confidence in solving challenging problems.
5. Academic & School Responsibilities
- Participate actively in staff meetings, academic planning and professional development programmes.
- Contribute to science exhibitions, Olympiads, competitions and other academic initiatives.
- Maintain student records, assessment data and required academic documentation.
- Support school events, examinations and other institutional responsibilities.
- Uphold the school's academic standards, policies and values.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physics / Applied Physics or a related field.
- B.Ed. preferred for school teaching roles.
- Strong understanding of middle and secondary school Physics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of IIT Foundation, JEE Foundation, Olympiad or competitive examination-oriented teaching will be an advantage.
Experience & Skills
The ideal candidate should have:
- Prior experience teaching Physics at middle school and/or secondary school level.
- Experience in IIT Foundation, JEE Foundation, NEET Foundation or Olympiad preparation is highly preferred.
- Excellent conceptual understanding of Physics.
- Strong numerical and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to teach both basic and advanced-level learners.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to make Physics interesting through experiments, demonstrations and real-life applications.
- Proficiency in using digital teaching tools, presentations and online learning platforms.
- Strong assessment and student performance analysis skills.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
