About the Role
Vetrivelavan Mill is looking for an experienced and responsible Factory Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our textile manufacturing unit.
The Factory Manager will be responsible for production planning, manpower management, machine productivity, quality, maintenance coordination, safety, material management and overall smooth functioning of the factory.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing unit.
- Plan and monitor production to achieve daily and monthly targets.
- Manage manpower and shift allocation effectively.
- Monitor machine productivity, production quantity and downtime.
- Coordinate with machine operators, supervisors and maintenance personnel.
- Identify reasons for production losses and take corrective action.
- Monitor raw material, work-in-progress and finished-goods movement.
- Maintain proper production records and daily production reports.
- Monitor product quality and reduce waste and production losses.
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working practices inside the factory.
- Monitor employee attendance, discipline and performance.
- Train and guide production staff and supervisors.
- Coordinate loading, unloading and material movement within the factory.
- Control production costs and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Report production, manpower, maintenance and operational issues to management.
- Implement systems and procedures to improve productivity and reduce wastage.
- Ensure smooth operation of the factory across all shifts.
Requirements
- Minimum 3* years of experience* in factory, production or textile manufacturing operations.
- Experience in textile mills, spinning, OE spinning, recycling or related manufacturing will be preferred.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Textile Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of production planning and manpower management.
- Good understanding of machinery operation and maintenance coordination.
- Ability to monitor production, wastage, productivity and downtime.
- Good leadership and team-management skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility for factory operations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in Open-End (OE) spinning, cotton recycling, textile waste processing or yarn manufacturing will be strongly preferred.

Salary
Salary: Starting with ₹20,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.
Candidates with strong relevant experience may be offered a higher salary based on their capabilities.
