Subhash Dairy is hiring an all-rounder Plant Manager to grow our business in Dombivli!
Are you an entrepreneurial leader who can manage a factory floor and also drive business growth? We are looking for a dynamic manager to run our facility, lead a team of 15 to 20 people, and oversee the daily production of our premium curd, paneer, mithai, ghee, snacks, and homemade butter.
In addition to handling internal plant operations and HR, you will be the face of Subhash Dairy—retaining our existing clients and actively bringing in new bulk orders from caterers, hotels, and wholesale buyers.
Factory Timings & Work Structure
Split Shift: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM AND 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Daily operations sync with fresh milk arrivals and evening packaging runs).
Key Responsibilities:
Production Expertise: Supervise processing methods, incubation times, and recipes for curd, paneer, ghee, sweets, and snacks.
Supplier Coordination: Coordinate with milk suppliers and packaging partners to match milk intake with growing customer orders.
Inventory Inspection: Conduct daily physical checks of milk stocks, packaging materials, and finished goods to minimize wastage.
B2B Sales & Growth: Approach and secure new bulk orders from caterers, hotels, restaurants, and wholesale purchasers in the Thane/Dombivli region.
Customer Retention: Build strong relationships with existing commercial clients to ensure regular re-orders and handle quality feedback.
HR Management: Handle daily attendance, shift scheduling, hiring, and floor discipline for 15–20 workers.
Qualifications
Experience: 3 to 5+ years in dairy plant management or food manufacturing with a strong track record in B2B sales/local marketing.
Network: Existing connections with local caterers, hotels, or wholesalers in Thane/Dombivli is a massive plus.
Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of traditional Indian dairy by-products, shelf-life, and bulk packaging.
Language: Fluency in Marathi and Hindi is mandatory to negotiate with local buyers, suppliers, and staff.
Location: Must live in or very near Dombivli due to the split-shift schedule and local market visits.
