Position Title- Sr. Engineer (Process Design)- BPE
Reporting To- Head- BPE
Education -B Tech in Chemical Engineering/Biochemical/Biotechnology/Mechanical Engineering. M Tech is preferred
Experience -3-5 years of experience in process engineering
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and select appropriate components for Biopharma equipment based on project
requirements, considering factors such as material compatibility, regulatory compliance, and process
specifications
• Calculate the utility requirements for Biopharma equipment, including but not limited to water, air,
and power, ensuring that the equipment functions optimally
•Perform calculations for process optimization, such as KLA and OTR
• Compile a comprehensive Bill of Material, listing all the components, materials, and quantities needed
for the Biopharma equipment, providing a clear overview for procurement In SAP
• Perform line sizing calculations to determine the appropriate dimensions for pipes and tubing within
the Biopharma equipment, considering flow rates, pressure drops, and material properties.
• Conduct thermal calculations for heat exchangers to ensure eficient heat transfer within the
Biopharma equipment, taking into account process temperatures and heat exchange requirements.
• Select suitable pumps for the Biopharma equipment, considering factors such as low rates, pressure
requirements, and compatibility with the process fluids
• Prepare detailed data sheets for each component selected, providing essential information for
procurement, including specifications, performance criteria, and any special requirements
•Technical clearance of supplier specifications
• Collaborate with the Testing and Qulaification team to troubleshoot any issues that arise during
testing and qualification phases, providing engineering support to ensure equipment meets specified
standards
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the equipment selection and design
process, including design calculations, data sheets, and any relevant reports
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
