Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise database platforms to ensure high availability and performance.
- Automate database operations, deployments, and routine maintenance tasks.
- Perform database installation, configuration, version upgrades, and security patching.
- Manage database replication, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning and optimization strategies.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot database-related issues across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and optimize database solutions.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, and best practices.
- Support infrastructure automation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance, weekend support, and critical production activities.
Requisites
- Bachelor//'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or Enterprise Database Administration.
- Hands-on experience with database performance tuning, replication, backup, recovery, and security patching.
- Knowledge of automation tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring and log management tools like Grafana, Loki, and Splunk.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting production database environments and high-availability systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn new database technologies and automation practices.
