Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience in Python and Django. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of PostgreSQL (including raw SQL queries), server deployment using Nginx, and working experience in Ubuntu/Linux environments. The candidate should be capable of designing scalable backend systems, writing optimized queries, and deploying production-ready applications.
Required Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in Python & Django framework.
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL.
- Experience writing raw SQL queries.
- Knowledge of database optimization and indexing.
- Experience with Nginx configuration.
- Good understanding of Ubuntu/Linux server management.
- Experience with REST APIs.
- Knowledge of Git and version control systems.
- Basic understanding of cloud deployment (AWS/DigitalOcean preferred).
Good to Have (Bonus Skills):
- Experience with Django Rest Framework (DRF)
- Knowledge of WebSockets
- Experience with Docker
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Basic frontend knowledge (React or similar)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend applications using Python & Django
- Design and manage PostgreSQL databases
- Write optimized raw SQL queries and complex joins
- Build RESTful APIs and integrate third-party APIs
- Optimize application performance and database queries
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
- Deploy and manage applications using Nginx on Ubuntu server
- Configure Gunicorn / uWSGI for production deployment
- Handle server setup, SSL configuration, and domain mapping
- Perform debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of backend systems
- Collaborate with frontend developers and mobile app teams
- Maintain proper documentation and version control using Git
