We are looking for a skilled Plastic Injection Moulding Design Engineer with hands-on experience in NX CAD for automotive plastic component design and development. The candidate should have strong knowledge of plastic part design guidelines, injection moulding processes, and product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop plastic injection moulded components using NX.
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
- Apply plastic design guidelines including ribs, bosses, snap-fits, locators, dog houses, and draft angles.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and GD&T application.
- Ensure DFM/DFA compliance for injection moulded components.
- Support tooling reviews, mould feasibility studies, and mould trials.
- Coordinate with tooling, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Support engineering change management (ECN/ECR) activities.
- Participate in DFMEA, APQP, PPAP, and product validation activities.
