Role Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and student-oriented Academic Counsellor to join our team. The role involves connecting with aspiring learners, understanding their educational goals, providing guidance on suitable programs, and supporting them throughout the admission process. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students.
Key Responsibilities
Student Communication:
Engage with prospective students through calls, emails, and other communication platforms to understand their requirements and provide relevant information.
Course & Career Guidance:
Provide detailed explanations about available programs, admission requirements, course benefits, fee structures, and career opportunities.
Student Counselling:
Identify student preferences and challenges to recommend appropriate learning paths and solutions.
Admission Support:
Assist students throughout the application and enrollment process, ensuring proper guidance and regular follow-ups.
Record Maintenance:
Maintain accurate records of student conversations, applications, and follow-up activities using internal tools.
Team Coordination:
Work closely with academic and operations teams to ensure a smooth student onboarding experience.
Issue Handling:
Resolve student queries professionally by providing accurate information and timely assistance.
Industry Awareness:
Keep updated with program changes, education trends, and relevant developments to provide better counselling support.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in customer service, counselling, sales support, or student engagement roles is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with excellent communication skills are encouraged to apply.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Good listening skills with the ability to understand student needs.
- Positive attitude with a goal-oriented and organized approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team.
- Basic computer knowledge is required; experience with CRM platforms will be an added advantage.
