Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, driving sales, ensuring excellent customer experience, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of store presentation and inventory control.
Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations
- Manage end-to-end store operations ensuring smooth daily functioning
- Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and hygiene standards
- Maintain store merchandising standards aligned with brand guidelines
Sales & Revenue Management
- Achieve store sales targets and drive revenue growth
- Monitor KPIs such as footfall conversion, average bill value, and basket size
- Implement promotional activities and upselling techniques
Customer Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints effectively
- Build strong customer relationships and ensure repeat business
- Maintain a welcoming and clean store environment
Inventory & Stock Management
- Ensure accurate stock levels and minimize shrinkage/wastage
- Coordinate with supply chain for timely replenishment
- Conduct regular stock audits and maintain inventory records
Team Management
- Lead, train, and motivate store staff to achieve performance targets
- Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and productivity
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with food safety and retail regulations
- Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in retail store management
- Experience in FMCG, organic food, grocery, or supermarket retail preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good understanding of retail operations and inventory systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field
