We are looking for an experienced and energetic Indian Snacks Chef (Commis I) to join our QSR restaurant at LTT Kurla, Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of Indian snacks while maintaining high standards of taste, quality, hygiene, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Indian snacks such as samosa, kachori, pakora, vada pav, pav bhaji, chaat items, cutlets, and other regional specialties.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and portion control.
- Prepare mise-en-place and ensure section readiness before service.
- Follow FSSAI food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment requirements.
- Minimize food wastage and support food cost control measures.
- Guide and support junior kitchen staff and helpers.
- Assist during high-volume service periods and special events.
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of experience in Indian snacks or Indian kitchen operations.
- Good knowledge of Indian spices, chutneys, and snack preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced QSR environment.
- Strong teamwork, discipline, and commitment to quality.
