Job Description: Structural Engineer
We are looking for a Structural Engineer for road construction projects in hilly terrain. The candidate will be responsible for execution, supervision, checking, and coordination of structural works such as minor bridges, culverts, retaining walls, breast walls, drains, protection works, foundations, RCC works, and other road-related structures.
The candidate should have good technical knowledge of structural drawings, reinforcement details, concrete works, and site execution, especially for highway projects in difficult hill conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and supervise structural works related to hill road projects.
- Handle minor bridges, culverts, drains, retaining walls, breast walls, parapets, crash barriers, protection walls, foundations, and RCC works.
- Read, check, and interpret structural drawings, reinforcement drawings, bar bending schedules, and construction details.
- Coordinate with highway, survey, QA/QC, mechanical, and project teams for smooth execution.
- Check shuttering, reinforcement, cover blocks, levels, alignment, formwork, concreting, curing, and finishing quality.
- Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, design requirements, technical specifications, and safety standards.
- Review site conditions such as slope stability, water flow, foundation strata, drainage path, and space constraints before execution.
- Prepare or check basic quantities, reinforcement requirements, concrete requirements, and material indents.
- Coordinate with consultants/client representatives for inspection, approvals, and technical clarifications.
- Monitor subcontractor work, manpower, machinery, material usage, and daily progress.
- Identify structural or site issues early and report corrective requirements to the Project Manager.
- Maintain records of inspections, pour cards, cube tests, concrete placement, reinforcement checks, and progress reports.
- Ensure safe working practices during excavation, shuttering, reinforcement, concreting, and work at height in hilly terrain.
Required Qualification & Experience
- Diploma or B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Experience in highway structures, bridges, culverts, retaining walls, drains, or RCC works preferred.
- Good knowledge of structural drawings, reinforcement details, concrete works, and site execution.
- Experience in hilly terrain road projects will be an added advantage.
- Ability to independently handle structural site activities and coordinate with multiple teams.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
