Key Responsibilities
An HSE Officer typically handles:
- Safety Policy Implementation
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Risk Assessment
Identify workplace hazards, evaluate risks, and implement control measures.Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety rules and legal requirements.Analyze accidents or near-misses and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Organize safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees.Ensure the organization meets government safety regulations and industry standards (like OSHA or ISO standards).Plan and coordinate emergency response procedures (fire drills, evacuation plans, etc.).Monitor waste management, pollution control, and sustainability practices.
