A School Housekeeping (HK) Supervisor oversees custodial staff to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for students and staff. Responsibilities include scheduling, training, conducting inspections, managing cleaning supplies inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervision & Staffing: Supervise, train, and mentor custodial staff, including assigning daily tasks, handling scheduling/rosters, and managing performance.
- Cleaning & Sanitation: Develop, implement, and inspect cleaning procedures for classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas to meet cleanliness standards.
- Inventory & Equipment Management: Monitor and order cleaning supplies, equipment, and cleaning chemicals, ensuring all equipment is maintained and functional.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, manage hazardous chemical storage, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies. [1, 2, 3]
- Inspections: Conduct daily or weekly walkthroughs to ensure the facility meets quality standards, focusing on high-traffic areas.
- Communication: Coordinate with school administration regarding maintenance, special events, and deep cleaning schedules.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Proven experience as a housekeeper, custodian, or in a supervisory role (often 1+ years)
- Leadership: Strong team management and training skills.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper sanitation techniques, and safe equipment operation.
- Physical Ability: Ability to perform heavy lifting and work on feet for extended periods
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
