The Sheet Metal Fabrication Production Engineer will oversee and optimize the fabrication of sheet metal components for control panels, ensuring high-quality, efficient production in line with engineering specifications. This role combines technical expertise in sheet metal processes with production planning, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
key responsibilties:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee the fabrication of sheet metal components for control panels to ensure timely production.
- Develop, optimize, and implement efficient sheet metal fabrication processes, including cutting, bending, punching, and welding.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and assembly teams to ensure smooth workflow and availability of materials.
- Ensure all fabricated components meet design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Provide technical guidance and support to fabrication operators and technicians on best practices and troubleshooting.
- Maintain detailed documentation of fabrication processes, standard operating procedures, and quality inspections.
- Supervise, train, and mentor the production team to promote skill development, safety awareness, and continuous improvement.
