The Computer Operator will be responsible for handling scanning and digitization-related activities, ensuring that physical records/documents are accurately scanned, indexed, and stored in digital formats. The role includes operating scanning equipment, maintaining data accuracy, organizing digital records, and supporting document management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate scanners and computer systems for digitization of physical records and documents.
- Prepare documents for scanning by removing staples, sorting, and arranging files properly.
- Scan records/documents with accuracy and clarity while maintaining quality standards.
- Verify scanned images/documents for completeness and legibility.
- Rename, index, and upload scanned files into the designated software/system.
- Maintain proper digital filing and backup of scanned records.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive records during handling and digitization.
- Troubleshoot minor issues related to scanners, systems, and software.
- Maintain daily work logs and report the progress of scanning/digitization tasks.
- Coordinate with supervisors regarding document handling, discrepancies, or damaged records.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of scanning equipment.
- Follow project timelines and productivity targets assigned by the management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of computer operations and document scanning processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office and file management.
- Familiarity with scanning software and PDF/document management tools.
- Good typing speed and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage large volumes of documents systematically.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for scanner and computer-related issues.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of official records.
Educational Qualification:
- Minimum 12th Pass / Graduate in any discipline.
- Basic computer certification preferred.
Experience:
- Experience in scanning, digitization, data entry, or document management work will be preferred.
- Freshers with computer knowledge may also apply.
Reporting To:
- Project Supervisor / Team Leader
Working Conditions:
- Office-based work involving prolonged sitting and handling of files/documents.
- May require meeting daily digitization targets
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
