Position: Civil Engineer – Projects & Infrastructure

Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to oversee the construction, development, and maintenance of automobile showrooms and workshop facilities. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining civil projects, including renovations, preventive maintenance, vendor management, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and as per strict quality and safety standards. The role involves end-to-end execution of civil projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and company standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Execution
· Plan and execute the construction of new showrooms and workshop facilities.
· Coordinate closely with architects, consultants, and contractors.
· Ensure timely completion of projects within defined quality standards and timelines.
· Manage multiple showroom and workshop projects simultaneously across different locations.
2. Site Development & Infrastructure
· Manage site preparation activities such as excavation, leveling, and paving.
· Oversee the development of drainage systems, and utility infrastructure.
· Coordinate infrastructure readiness before showroom launches and corporate events.
3. BOQ, Cost Control & Procurement
· Prepare BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and detailed project cost estimates.
· Monitor project budgets and actively control expenditures.
· Verify contractor bills, measurements, and work completion.
· Assist the purchase team in the technical evaluation of civil quotations.
· Recommend cost-effective construction materials without compromising quality.
· Prepare technical specifications for tendering processes.
4. Project Monitoring & Quality Control
· Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality as per approved drawings.
· Monitor material quality and approve materials prior to installation.
· Ensure all civil works comply with strict company quality standards.
5. Maintenance & Facility Management
· Oversee repair and maintenance of existing buildings and infrastructure.
· Ensure proper upkeep of workshop floors, roofing, parking areas, and drainage systems.
· Prepare annual preventive maintenance plans for all dealership buildings.
· Monitor AMC vendors for civil repair and waterproofing works.
· Maintain records of recurring civil issues and implement corrective actions.
· Monitor water supply, sewage systems, rainwater harvesting, and plumbing infrastructure.
· Ensure proper maintenance of compound walls, gates, and signage foundations.
6. Vendor & Contractor Management
· Identify, onboard, and manage reliable contractors and vendors.
· Ensure execution aligns perfectly with approved drawings, specifications, and timelines.
7. Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
· Ensure adherence to local authority approvals, building codes, and safety regulations.
· Maintain accurate documentation of approvals, drawings, and compliance records.
· Conduct regular safety audits at project sites.
· Ensure contractors strictly follow PPE and safety protocols.
· Report and close safety observations within defined timelines.
8. Coordination & Reporting
· Coordinate with Operations, Sales, Service, IT, Electrical, and Branding teams during project execution.
· Ensure civil readiness before the installation of furniture, equipment, and branding elements.
· Provide regular weekly and monthly project status reports to the Admin Manager.
· Track project milestones using project schedules.
· Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, BOQs, approvals, and completion certificates.
9. Documentation:
· Maintaining DPR (Daily Progress Report).
· Weekly and monthly MIS reporting.
· Site photographs before, during, and after completion.
· Material reconciliation reports.
· Project handover documentation.
Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
· Experience: 2 years in construction, commercial, or industrial projects
Technical Skills
· Proficiency in AutoCAD.
· BOQ preparation and accurate cost estimation.
· On-site execution and comprehensive project management.
