JOB OVERVIEW:
As a Senior Backend Engineer at SalesIntel, you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of our core backend systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, high-performance solutions that meet the evolving needs of our product. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in backend development, a deep understanding of system architecture, and a proven track record of delivering robust and efficient code. In this dynamic role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to work alongside some of the industry’s best engineers, gaining valuable exposure to cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Design and develop scalable backend systems and microservices.
- Build and maintain robust, high-performance APIs
- Drive system design and architecture decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features.
- Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability in production systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer
- Strong experience preferably in Java and Spring Boot (microservices architecture)
- Proven experience with REST APIs and distributed systems
- Solid understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience working on production-scale systems
- Background in SaaS, SalesTech, or data-heavy platforms
- Experience with event-driven systems (SQS , Kinesis , Kafka, etc.)
- Exposure to the cloud (AWS) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong ownership and ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools (Cursor, ChatGPT, etc.) to enhance development efficiency and code quality
REPORTING: This position will report to the Engineering Manager or as assigned by Management..
