About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Associate to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, maintain high standards of hygiene, and possess basic knowledge of Continental cuisine, including pizza, pasta, and grilled preparations. The Kitchen Associate will assist the chefs in food preparation, kitchen operations, and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs in the preparation and cooking of food as per recipes and company standards.
- Prepare ingredients, including chopping, cutting, marinating, and portioning.
- Support the preparation of Continental dishes, including pizzas, pasta, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and grilled items.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, kitchen equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Receive and store kitchen supplies according to company procedures.
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation (FIFO).
- Work efficiently during busy service hours while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate effectively with chefs and other kitchen staff.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months to 2 years of kitchen experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Continental cuisine, especially:
- Pizza preparation
- Pasta preparation
- Sandwiches & Burgers
- Salads
- Grill station operations
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety.
- Understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
