Job Description Position - Sales Trainer
Job Summary: The Sales Trainer is responsible for planning, developing, and delivering training programs for field force employees to improve their product knowledge, selling skills, communication, customer engagement, and overall field performance. The role involves conducting classroom and on-field training, identifying capability gaps, coaching employees, and working closely with sales and business teams to improve field productivity and achievement of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct induction and onboarding training for new field force employees.
- Deliver regular training programs on product knowledge, sales techniques, communication skills, and company processes.
- Conduct on-the-job field coaching through joint field visits with sales representatives.
- Identify individual and team-level training and development needs.
- Develop training modules, presentations, role plays, case studies, assessments, and other learning materials.
- Train field teams on product features, benefits, competitor information, and effective product positioning.
- Improve field force capabilities in: o Customer handling and relationship building o Product presentation and detailing o Objection handling o Negotiation and closing techniques o Territory planning and time management o Reporting and use of CRM/mobile applications
- Provide refresher training based on business needs and field observations.
- Support sales campaigns, product launches, and other business initiatives through field-force training.
- Ability to travel extensively for field visits. Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and digital/CRM training platforms.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, HR, Education, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in field sales, field training, sales capability development, or a similar role.
- Prior experience managing or training a field sales team is preferred.
- Experience in FMCG, Pharma, Consumer Durables, Retail, Telecom, BFSI, or other field-driven industries will be an advantage.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
