InfinityBox is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Production & Quality Head to lead plant operations and drive operational excellence across production, quality, planning, manpower management, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient plant performance, meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, optimizing resources, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring daily presence at the manufacturing facility.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations Management
- Lead daily production activities and ensure adherence to production plans and schedules.
- Monitor production targets versus actual output and implement corrective actions where required.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and production resources.
- Track and improve key manufacturing metrics including productivity, efficiency, capacity utilization, and downtime.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and operational standards.
- Review production reports and present actionable insights to management.
Quality Management
- Establish and maintain quality systems and process controls across plant operations.
- Monitor quality performance indicators and implement improvements to reduce defects and rework.
- Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements and internal quality standards.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives for quality issues.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to improve process reliability and product quality.
Operations Reporting & MIS
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports and operational dashboards.
- Develop and track operational KPIs and performance scorecards.
- Analyze production data to support management decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting.
- Improve reporting efficiency through automation using Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, or similar tools.
Manpower & Shift Management
- Oversee attendance, shift planning, workforce deployment, and productivity monitoring.
- Ensure optimum manpower utilization across all shifts.
- Coordinate with HR for recruitment, workforce planning, and manpower optimization.
- Maintain workplace discipline, safety awareness, and operational effectiveness.
Planning & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Maintenance, Quality, and HR teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Support production planning, inventory control, and resource allocation activities.
- Assist in forecasting, capacity planning, and operational budgeting.
- Ensure alignment between production schedules and customer commitments.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop production supervisors, quality personnel, MIS executives, and operational support teams.
- Set performance goals and monitor team effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- MBA in Operations Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Production Operations, Plant Operations, or Industrial Operations.
- Experience in reusable bottle rewashing, beverage manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, or process manufacturing industries is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in managing production teams and achieving operational targets.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, plant operations, and production KPIs.
- Knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, inventory management, and process optimization.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to use data-driven insights to improve operational performance.
Preferred Profile
- Prior experience working in manufacturing plants and production-driven environments.
- Exposure to production planning, capacity planning, and supply chain coordination.
- Strong focus on operational excellence, productivity improvement, quality enhancement, and cost optimization.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Candidates residing in Mumbai or willing to relocate to the Bhandup area will be preferred.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
