Position: Senior Architect – Large Mixed-use Project (>1.2 million sq ft)
Location: Pune (with travel to project sites as required)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to lead the design development, statutory approvals, and overall project coordination for large-scale IT parks, mixed-use commercial developments, and high-end residential projects.
This role is positioned as a Design & Approvals Lead, responsible for driving coordination from concept and design stages through approvals and project kick-off. The incumbent will work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and project site teams to ensure timely delivery, regulatory compliance, and seamless transition into execution.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in handling projects end-to-end in a similar coordination role, with strong ownership of timelines, stakeholder alignment, and design readiness.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Coordination & Planning
- Act as the central coordination point between design consultants, internal stakeholders, and site teams.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules related to design development, approvals, and pre-construction readiness.
- Ensure alignment between design intent, statutory requirements, and project timelines.
- Identify risks and dependencies early and drive timely resolution.
2. Design Management
- Coordinate with architects, structural, MEP, façade, and specialist consultants for integrated design delivery.
- Review drawings for completeness, inter-disciplinary coordination, and readiness for approvals and execution.
- Lead design coordination meetings and ensure closure of action points within defined timelines.
- Maintain design documentation and version control.
3. Statutory Approvals & Compliance
- Manage and track statutory approvals and submissions with relevant authorities.
-Complete knowledge of local DC rules, Fire Codes, NBC, MOEF/State Pollution control rules is must .
- Coordinate preparation and submission of drawings, documents, and technical clarifications required for approvals.
- Maintain approval trackers and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and development controls.
4. Site Kick-off & Mobilization
- Ensure readiness of approved drawings, permits, and documentation prior to construction commencement.
- Coordinate with project execution teams for smooth transition from design to construction stage.
- Support onboarding and coordination of consultants and contractors during early project phases.
5. Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, approvals, risks, and timelines.
- Facilitate communication between multiple stakeholders to ensure timely decision-making.
- Maintain structured reporting and documentation practices.
Candidate ProfileQualification
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture from a recognized institution.
Experience
- Min 12 years of relevant experience in IT parks, mixed-use commercial, or premium residential developments.
-3/4 years in similar role
- Must have handled at least one large-scale project from design inception through approvals and site commencement in a project coordination or design management role to completion/handover .
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of architectural and engineering design coordination.
- Familiarity with statutory approval processes and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and project coordination tools.
- Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple consultants and timelines effectively.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
