We are seeking an experienced Assistant Finance Manager to support the Finance Manager in managing the resort’s financial operations, ensuring effective financial controls, accurate reporting, revenue management, cost control and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Finance Manager in overseeing the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of the resort.
- Supervise and review Daily Revenue Audit for Rooms, F&B, Spa and other revenue-generating departments.
- Review and reconcile PMS/POS revenue reports with accounting records.
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and daily accounting activities.
- Review bank, cash, credit card and payment gateway reconciliations.
- Monitor daily collections, receivables and outstanding balances.
- Review purchase invoices, POs, GRNs and supporting documents.
- Assist in monthly and annual financial closing and preparation of financial reports.
- Prepare and review MIS, revenue reports, expense reports and financial schedules.
- Monitor departmental expenses and implement effective cost control measures.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Review inventory, food cost and beverage cost reports and identify variances.
- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with Front Office, F&B, Stores, Purchase, HR and Operations to strengthen financial controls.
- Coordinate with internal, statutory and external auditors and provide required documentation.
- Identify financial discrepancies, operational risks and control gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to company financial policies, resort SOPs and internal control procedures.
- Support the Finance Manager in process improvements and financial decision-making.
- Supervise and guide junior finance team members as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant Finance & Accounts experience.
- Hospitality experience is mandatory, with proven experience in a hotel, resort or hospitality establishment.
- Candidates without prior hotel/resort finance experience will not be considered.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality accounting, revenue audit, cost control and financial reporting.
- Experience with hotel PMS/POS and accounting software preferred.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
- Experience in a luxury hotel/resort will be an added advantage.
