Who Can Apply (Essential)
- Pune-based, on-site — open to Pune-based candidates only; on-site at Erandwane, Pune (no relocation support).
- Graduate or postgraduate — any stream;
- Strong communicator & excellent visual appearance — fluent English with excellent written and verbal skills; able to coordinate clearly between business teams, the development team and leadership.
- Analytical & structured — able to break problems down, document requirements clearly, and keep details organised across parallel tasks.
- Comfortable with technology — proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), quick to learn new business and project tools, and genuinely interested in software and how it is built.
- Organised & detail-oriented — strong ownership and follow-through.
- Trustworthy — discretion and integrity when handling confidential business, product and personnel information.
We are building our own software, and this role sits at the centre of that effort. As Business Analyst, you will be the bridge between our internal business teams and our software development team — gathering requirements, translating them into clear specifications, and keeping everyone aligned as the product takes shape. Alongside this, you will work directly with the Founder’s / CEO’s Office, handle routine administration, and take on new projects that arise in the regular course of business.
It is ideal for a sharp, organised communicator who can move comfortably between business and technology, enjoys variety and ownership, and wants close exposure to both product development and how a business is run from the top. Prior business-analysis or technical experience is a plus but not essential — guidance, tools and training are provided.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Analysis & Software Development Coordination (primary focus)
- Act as the primary link between internal business teams and the software development team.
- Gather, document and prioritise requirements from internal stakeholders; understand current processes, gaps and pain points.
- Translate business needs into clear, structured requirements — user stories, functional specifications, process flows and simple wireframes the development team can build from.
- Coordinate day-to-day between teams: clarify queries, unblock issues, track progress and keep timelines on course.
- Organise reviews and demos; run user acceptance testing (UAT) and channel feedback back into the build.
- Maintain clear documentation of requirements, decisions, change requests and release notes.
- Work with the founder and development team to set priorities and keep everyone aligned on what is being built and why.
2. Founder’s / CEO’s Office & Special Projects
- Work directly with the Founder’s / CEO’s Office on new and innovative initiatives that come up in the routine course of business.
- Research, scope and help execute special projects across functions — from process improvements to new business initiatives.
- Prepare briefs, presentations and background research to support leadership decisions.
- Track milestones, follow up with internal teams and external partners, and drive tasks to closure.
- Bring structure to open-ended, fast-moving assignments and act as a reliable coordination point for the leadership office.
3. Routine Administration & Coordination
- Coordinate meetings, calendars, reminders and follow-ups for the leadership office.
- Receive and host visitors and clients with a professional, courteous presence.
- Arrange travel — transport, accommodation and itinerary planning.
- Oversee office upkeep, vendor coordination, utility payments and procurement of supplies, devices and services.
- Maintain documentation for NDAs, MoUs, agreements and renewal schedules; manage records and dispatch.
- Provide light support on routine HR and accounts coordination as needed (training and guidance provided).
Good to Have (Not Essential)
- Business-analysis exposure — prior experience as a BA or coordinating with a software / development team.
- Understanding of how software is built — familiarity with the software development lifecycle, Agile / Scrum, or tools such as Jira, Trello or Notion.
- Documentation skills — writing requirements (BRD / FRD), user stories, or drawing process flows and wireframes.
- Technical literacy — basic understanding of databases, APIs or testing concepts (no coding required).
- Founder’s-office exposure — prior experience supporting a founder’s / CEO’s office or in an EA-plus / chief-of-staff capacity.
- Generalist background — exposure to a startup / small-business / multi-functional setup; basic commerce or accounts familiarity.
Core Competencies
- Clear communication and the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
- Requirement-gathering and structured documentation.
- Ownership and reliability across multiple, parallel workstreams.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a fast pace — turning open-ended asks into clear outcomes.
- A proactive, problem-solving and continuous-improvement mindset.
Why This Role
- Help shape our in-house software from the ground up — real influence on what gets built.
- Work at the intersection of business and technology, with direct founder exposure.
- Broad ownership across product coordination, special projects and operations — rare this early in a career.
- A strong launchpad toward business analysis, product, or operations / chief-of-staff tracks.
