Sigtron Consumer Durables Pvt Ltd is inviting applications from experienced raw material manager'. The Raw Material Manager is responsible for planning, sourcing, and managing the availability of raw materials required for uninterrupted production. The role ensures optimal inventory levels, cost control, and coordination between procurement, stores, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Planning
- Plan and forecast raw material requirements based on production schedules
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays
- Maintain safety stock and reorder levels
Procurement Coordination
- Work closely with procurement team for sourcing and vendor management
- Monitor supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery timelines)
- Negotiate pricing and ensure cost-effective purchasing
Inventory Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid overstocking or shortages
- Monitor stock movement, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory
- Conduct regular stock audits and ensure accuracy
Stores & Warehouse Management
- Oversee material receiving, storage, and issuance processes
- Ensure proper handling and storage of LED components (drivers, PCBs, chips, etc.)
- Implement FIFO / FEFO practices
Production Coordination
- Coordinate with production team for daily material requirements
- Ensure timely material issuance to meet production targets
Cost Control
- Track material consumption and minimize wastage
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in sourcing and usage
Quality Control Coordination
- Ensure incoming materials meet quality standards
- Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and approvals
Requirements:
- Experience: 6–10+ years in inventory/material management in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of inventory control and supply chain processes
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory software
