The Production Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility. This includes production planning, workforce management, ensuring adherence to FSSAI standards, raw material optimization, and maintaining strict quality control over our entire product line (sauces, pickles, and kasundi). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in food processing technology, team leadership, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Execution: Plan, schedule, and execute daily/weekly production targets to meet market demands efficiently.
- Quality Control & Food Safety: Ensure strict compliance with FSSAI regulations, hygiene standards, and internal quality benchmarks. Oversee batch testing for taste, texture, acidity, and shelf-life consistency.
- Team Management: Supervise, train, and motivate production floor workers and supervisors. Manage shift scheduling and ensure a safe, disciplined working environment.
- Inventory & Raw Material Management: Monitor the usage of raw materials (spices, mustard, oils, vegetables) and packaging materials to minimize wastage and optimize yield.
- Machinery & Maintenance: Oversee the proper operation and routine maintenance of food processing and packaging machinery to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily production logs, batch records, wastage reports, and compliance documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing, ideally specifically in the production of sauces, jams, pickles, or traditional Indian condiments.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of food preservation techniques, batch processing, pasteurization, and FSSAI guidelines.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in basic computer applications for reporting (Excel/Word).
