Job Summary
The CAD Jewellery Designer (Polki Jewellery) is responsible for creating high-quality 3D CAD models and technical designs for traditional Polki jewellery collections. The role requires expertise in designing intricate bridal and heritage jewellery while ensuring production feasibility, stone placement accuracy, and manufacturing standards. The designer will work closely with the merchandising, production, and stone-setting teams to develop innovative and market-driven designs.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development
- Create detailed 3D CAD models for Polki jewellery including necklaces, chokers, earrings, bangles, bracelets, rings, pendants, maang tikkas, hathphools, and bridal sets.
- Develop original and innovative Polki jewellery designs based on market trends and customer requirements.
- Convert hand sketches or concept drawings into production-ready CAD models.
- Ensure proper placement of Polki diamonds, uncut diamonds, Kundan, Meena work, pearls, gemstones, and other embellishments.
- Prepare technical drawings with accurate dimensions and specifications.
Production Coordination
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure CAD files are production-friendly.
- Modify designs based on manufacturing feasibility and production feedback.
- Assist model makers and casting teams during prototype development.
- Resolve design-related issues during production.
Quality & Technical Standards
- Ensure designs meet company quality standards and jewellery manufacturing specifications.
- Maintain correct metal weight, stone fitting, thickness, and structural integrity.
- Minimize metal wastage while maintaining aesthetic appeal.
- Verify all CAD files before releasing them for manufacturing.
Research & Innovation
- Study current jewellery trends, bridal collections, and international Polki designs.
- Develop seasonal and exclusive collections.
- Suggest innovative design concepts while preserving traditional craftsmanship.
Documentation
- Maintain organized records of CAD files, revisions, and design libraries.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials) and technical specifications for production.
- Ensure proper version control of all design files.
Required SkillsTechnical Skills
- Expertise in Rhino, MatrixGold, Matrix, JewelCAD, or similar jewellery CAD software.
- Strong understanding of Polki jewellery construction and manufacturing.
- Knowledge of stone settings, Kundan setting, Jadau work, and Meenakari concepts.
- Knowledge of jewellery proportions, ergonomics, and wearability.
- Ability to prepare production-ready CAD files.

Educational Qualification

Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in CAD designing, with a strong focus on Polki jewellery.
- Experience in luxury, bridal, heritage, or handcrafted jewellery is preferred.
Pay: ₹10,188.33 - ₹37,337.88 per month
