Digital Innovation and Post Harvest Fishery Literacy” project-based positions to implement an initiative to bridge the digital divide among fisherwomen and enhance their incomes, skills, and market participation through ICT solutions in post-harvest fisheries.
Key Responsibilites

Provide mobilization support in fishing villages, encouraging fisherwomen’s participation in digital literacy sessions and project activities.

Assist in coordinating field logistics and setup for trainings and mobile kiosk operations, including preparing materials, equipment, and venues.

Organize village level trainings, Support trainers and coordinators during workshops and demonstrations, helping participants with hands-on practice on devices.

Conduct data collection in the field (e.g. registration of beneficiaries, attendance, basic surveys) and maintain simple records to feed into project monitoring.

Skills: Basic literacy and numeracy, with ability to maintain simple logs. Familiarity with using mobile phones and willingness to learn new apps to assist others. Knowledge of the local language/dialect (Tamil or relevant coastal language) and ability to communicate effectively within the community.
Qualification
UG with 3-4 years of field experience in any one of the science or Information communication background or P.G. Candidates with field experience in community work will also be considered.
Experience

Prior work or volunteer experience in rural/community mobilization is highly desirable (e.g. as a community volunteer, SHG member, or field worker). Local knowledge of fishing communities and culture is an advantage
Preferred Experience:

Residing in or from the local coastal region, with established rapport in fishing communities.

Experience supporting training or development projects in rural areas
Demonstrated interest in women’s empowerment or digital initiatives at community level.
