Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer with 2–5 years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs, preparing efficient sheet metal nesting layouts, maximizing material utilization, and supporting fabrication operations to achieve high productivity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for sheet metal fabrication machines.
- Prepare efficient nesting layouts to maximize material utilization and minimize scrap.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications accurately.
- Generate CNC programs using CAD/CAM software for laser cutting, turret punching, bending, or other sheet metal processing equipment.
- Optimize machine parameters to improve cycle time, productivity, and machining efficiency.
- Coordinate with the Design, Production, and Quality teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
- Plan fabrication processes based on production requirements and machine capabilities.
- Troubleshoot programming and machine-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain CNC program documentation, revision history, and process records.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and manufacturing best practices.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
Key Skills:
- Strong expertise in Sheet Metal Nesting.
- Proficiency in CNC Programming for sheet metal fabrication.
- Experience in Machine Optimization and improving production efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of Material Utilization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Good understanding of Fabrication Process Planning.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes including laser cutting, punching, bending, and fabrication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in CNC programming within the sheet metal fabrication industry.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
