- Plan and determine the most effective and efficient routes for freight transportation.
- Organize the movement of freight between intermediate destinations, including cargo terminals, port facilities, and railway yards.
- Monitor and track the movement of freight utilizing software and satellite technology.
- Provide regular updates and reports to clients on the progress of their goods.
- Determine the optimal packaging methods for various types of stock, considering factors such as weather conditions, terrain, and the nature of the goods.
- Implement appropriate handling and transportation procedures for delicate or sensitive goods.
- Verify and ensure compliance with the legal requirements of different countries, including the accurate completion of necessary documentation such as insurance and customs forms.
- Stay informed about relevant political activities and legislative changes that may affect freight transportation.
- Organize payments and process transactions on behalf of clients, including freight charges and related expenses.
