Job Purpose
To operate the beam saw machine safely and efficiently for accurate cutting of boards, plywood, MDF, particle board and other panel materials as per the required dimensions and production specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the beam saw machine for cutting boards and panels according to cutting lists and job requirements.
- Check the cutting dimensions, material type and quantity before starting the operation.
- Set and enter the required cutting dimensions/programs into the machine.
- Load and position panels correctly on the machine.
- Ensure accurate and clean cuts with minimum material wastage.
- Check the dimensions and quality of cut panels using appropriate measuring tools.
- Identify and report machine abnormalities, blade problems or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of the machine.
- Maintain proper records of production, material usage and wastage where required.
- Follow all machine safety procedures, PPE requirements and workplace safety instructions.
- Keep the work area clean, organized and free from unnecessary materials.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other production workers to meet daily production targets.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of operating beam saw/panel saw machines.
- Ability to read cutting lists, measurements and basic production drawings.
- Good knowledge of measurement and dimensions.
- Ability to identify defects in boards and finished cuts.
- Basic machine troubleshooting and maintenance knowledge.
- Attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to work safely and meet production targets.
Experience
- Minimum 3 -5 years of experience
- Previous experience in operating a beam saw or panel-cutting machine is preferred.
Salary: 30k - 35k per month
Location: Panchkula
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
