We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and highly motivated Vice Principal to join our CBSE school leadership team. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring academic leader who can work closely with the Principal, teachers, students, and parents to maintain high academic standards, strong discipline, and a positive school culture.
The Vice Principal will play a key role in academic leadership, teacher development, student discipline, school operations, curriculum implementation, and overall institutional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
- Support the Principal in planning and implementing the school's academic vision and goals.
- Monitor teaching-learning practices and ensure effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum.
- Review lesson plans, academic progress, assessments, and student performance.
- Monitor academic standards across departments and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate examinations, assessments, remedial programmes, and academic interventions.
- Encourage innovative, activity-based, experiential, and technology-enabled learning.
Teacher Leadership & Development
- Supervise, mentor, and support teachers in their professional development.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
- Coordinate teacher meetings, academic planning, and departmental activities.
- Help establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Assist in staff appraisal and performance-review processes.
Student Development & Discipline
- Maintain high standards of student discipline, behaviour, attendance, and punctuality.
- Promote a safe, respectful, inclusive, and positive school environment.
- Address student concerns and behavioural issues fairly and professionally.
- Encourage leadership, responsibility, communication skills, and holistic development among students.
- Work closely with counsellors, coordinators, and teachers to support student wellbeing.
School Operations
- Assist the Principal in the day-to-day administration and smooth functioning of the school.
- Ensure effective implementation of school policies and procedures.
- Coordinate assemblies, events, programmes, meetings, and other school activities.
- Support communication between management, administration, teachers, students, and parents.
- Ensure proper documentation, records, schedules, and reporting.
- Take charge of the school in the Principal's absence when required.
Parents & Community
- Maintain professional and constructive relationships with parents.
- Address parent concerns and grievances appropriately.
- Participate in parent meetings, orientations, workshops, and school events.
- Represent the school's values and standards professionally.

Qualifications & Experience
- Master's Degree in Education or a relevant subject; B.Ed. is required/preferred as applicable.
- Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience, with substantial experience in school leadership/academic administration preferred.
- Experience in a CBSE-affiliated school is strongly preferred.
- Candidates with experience as Academic Coordinator, Head of Department, Senior Coordinator, Vice Principal, or equivalent leadership positions are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of CBSE curriculum, assessment practices, school administration, and child-centred education.
- Candidates must meet applicable CBSE/NCTE and regulatory requirements for the position.
