Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ELV (Extra Low Voltage) Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be the technical lead responsible for the seamless installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of various ELV systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in security, life safety, and networking systems, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning
- Lead and execute the installation, testing, configuration, and commissioning of ELV systems, including but not limited to:
- CCTV & Video Surveillance
- Fire Alarm & Detection Systems
- Access Control & Intrusion Detection
- Structured Cabling & Networking (LAN/WAN)
- Public Address (PA) & Voice Evacuation Systems
- Ensure all equipment is installed according to approved shop drawings, manufacturer guidelines, and project specifications.
- Conduct functional tests and system integration, resolving any technical conflicts between overlapping systems.
Project Management & Collaboration
- Collaborate effectively with site engineers, project managers, MEP contractors, and clients to ensure smooth workflow and system integration.
- Conduct comprehensive site surveys and feasibility studies prior to installation.
- Supervise technicians and sub-contractors on-site to ensure workmanship meets quality standards.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues during the deployment and operational phases.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and system upgrades as required.
Documentation & Handover
- Prepare and manage essential project documentation, including material submittals, testing and commissioning (T&C) reports, and as-built drawings.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users, facility managers, and clients on how to operate and maintain the newly installed systems.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Site Mobility: Must be willing and able to reliably commute to different project sites for installation, testing, and troubleshooting as project demands require.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in configuring IP-based systems, networking protocols, and routing.
- Familiarity with major ELV brands and manufacturers (e.g., Hikvision, Honeywell, Bosch, Cisco, Siemens).
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, AutoCAD drawings, and schematics.
- Compliance: Solid understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and international standards (e.g., NFPA, BICSI).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced construction or site environment.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
