The Culinary Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting high-quality savory dishes, baked goods, and desserts while maintaining food safety, quality standards, and kitchen efficiency. The role requires expertise in both hot kitchen operations and baking/pastry production.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of savory dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
- Bake savories, breads, cakes, pastries, cookies.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation standards.
- Follow recipes and maintain consistency.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Manage ingredients, stock, and minimize food waste.
- Assist in menu planning and new recipe development.
- Work efficiently with the kitchen team to meet production and service requirements.
Preferred Qualification:
- Certificate, diploma, or degree in Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a restaurant, bakery, hotel, or café.
