We are seeking a skilled MS SQL Developer with 0-1 years of experience in database design, development, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing complex SQL queries, managing database objects, improving database performance, and supporting application development teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and indexes
- Write optimized T-SQL queries for reporting and business logic implementation
- Perform query tuning and database performance optimization
- Assist in ETL processes and data migration activities
- Collaborate with application developers to integrate databases with business applications
- Manage database security, backup, and recovery procedures
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and high availability
- Support reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI
- Maintain proper documentation of database processes and structures
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2016 / 2019 / 2022)
- Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, views, triggers, and indexing strategies
- Experience with execution plans and performance tuning
- Hands-on experience with SSRS, SSIS, or other ETL tools
- Knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies
- Understanding of transactions, locking, isolation levels, and deadlock handling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Good to Have
- Experience with Azure SQL or other cloud-based databases
- Exposure to high availability solutions (Always On, clustering, replication, mirroring)
- Knowledge of other RDBMS such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases
