A Garments CAD Technician is a professional who uses computer-aided design (CAD) software to create, modify, and prepare garment patterns and markers for clothing manufacturing. This role helps improve accuracy, fit, and fabric utilization in apparel production.
Main responsibilities
- Create digital garment patterns from design sketches.
- Grade patterns into different sizes (S, M, L, XL, etc.).
- Prepare fabric markers to reduce material waste.
- Modify patterns based on fit and production requirements.
- Create technical drawings and production specifications.
- Work with designers, pattern masters, and production teams.

CAD software
Eligibility
- 10th or 12th pass (depending on the training program)
